“I am passionate about working with clients to see their dreams become reality.”

Patricia Motzkin Architecture, established in 1990, provides award winning custom residential and
interior design services throughout the United States. Ms. Motzkin enjoys spending time learning about clients’ interests and lifestyles in order to create custom environments. She understands that no two sites are alike and brings her clean, fresh design approach to meld seamlessly with any given architectural style. Her work includes new homes, commercial and residential interiors, and universal design, making homes adaptable for ages and abilities.

Ms. Motzkin understands that a crucial part of design is working with environmental conditions, climate, solar orientation weather and sustainable materials. An architect who has a good relationship with officials in building and planning departments across the Bay Area, Ms. Motzkin excels in expediting projects through the approvals process. She also has a love of craft and delights in working with artisans to create unique elements in her projects.

Ms. Motzkin holds a Masters of Architecture from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Arts in Art History from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Prior to establishing her firm, Ms. Motzkin spent eight years working for corporate firms in San Francisco. She currently lives in Oakland with her husband Richard Feldman, an architect, in a house they designed. She is an active community member, has served on several school boards and is a current member of the Berkeley Repertory Theatre's Facilities Committee. She is an avid traveler, hiker and reader of fiction, she seeks design inspiration exploring museums of the world and loves gathering her family and friends.
